Helping out in the classroom is what makes a cooperative a truly special and unique situation for you and your child(ren). You get to be right in the thick of things as your little one makes discoveries, new friends and starts his or her journey towards independence. Two parent teachers assist the two paid teachers in each class contributing to an important 4 adults to each 1 child ratio that makes for a successful classroom experience for everyone.
Parent teachers help clean and prepare the classroom before class, provide a healthy snack and assist the teacher throughout the day in a variety of ways. All adults are required to pass a background check before they are allowed to parent teach. Each family parent teaches 2-4 times a month depending on class size and days attending.
